FLUID RECOMMENDATIONS

All vehicles use Dexron®II or III type automatic transmission fluid.

LEVEL CHECK

See Figures 1, 2 and 3

The fluid level in the power steering reservoir should be checked at least every 15,000 miles (24,000 km) or 1 year. The vehicle should be parked on level ground, with the engine warm and running at normal idle. If the level is low, add Dexron®II or III type ATF until the proper level is achieved. The air cleaner lid may need to be removed on some models to access the power steering fluid reservoir cap.

Some models may have a reservoir with markings on the outside of the reservoir and others the cap has a built-in dipstick.
