TESTING

  1. Remove the throttle body as described in .
  2.  
  3. Remove the IAC valve.
  4.

  1. Connect the positive lead from the battery to terminal B+ and the negative lead to terminal RSC. Check that the valve is closed.
  2.  
  3. Connect the positive lead from the battery to terminal B+ and the negative lead to terminal RSO, then check that the valve is open.
  4.  
  5. If the valve is not properly functioning during testing, then replace the valve.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the throttle body as described in .
  2.  
  3. Remove the 4 screws retaining the IAC valve and pull the unit from the engine. Discard the old gasket.

To install:
  1. Place a new gasket into position on the throttle body.
  2.  
  3. Position the IAC valve and secure the retaining screws.
  4.  
  5. Install the throttle body as described in .
