REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support the axle housing with jackstands.

  3. Disconnect the lateral rod or arm from the rear axle housing.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the lateral rod from the body and remove the rod.
  6.  

To install:
  1. Install the arm-to-body nut and finger tighten it.
  2.  
  3. Position the rod or arm on the axle housing and install a washer, bushing, spacer, the arm, bushing, washer and then the nut. Finger tighten the nut.
  4.  
  5. Lower the vehicle and bounce it a few times to stabilize the suspension.
  6.  
  7. Raise the rear of the vehicle again then tighten the lateral control rod-to-body nut to 72 ft. lbs. (97 Nm) and the control rod-to-axle housing nut to 47 ft. lbs. (64 Nm). Tighten the upper and lower control arms to 72 ft. lbs. (97 Nm).
