REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

The water temperature sender usually threads into the thermostat housing.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2.  
  2. Drain the cooling system.
    3.  
  3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the sensor.
    4.  
  4. Carefully unscrew the sensor from the engine.
    5.  

To install:
  1. Place a piece of Teflon tape around the sensor threads and screw the unit securely into the engine.
    2.  
  2. Attach the wiring to the sensor.
    3.  
  3. Fill the cooling system.
    4.  
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
    5.  
  5. Start the engine and top off the cooling system if necessary.
    6.  
  6. Reset any digital equipment such as radio memory and the clock if necessary.
    7.
